Palestinians prisoners face severe, systematic dehumanization and sexualized or gendered violence at the hands of Israeli occupation forces.

The Palestinian Feminist Collective's newest report comprehensively documents systematic patterns of Israeli sexualized & gendered violence against Palestinians

This landmark new report gathers the evidence of Israel’s systematic sexualized and gendered violence against Palestinians in a way that cannot be ignored.”

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A major new report by the Palestinian Feminist Collective (PFC), supported by the Progressive International, comprehensively documents findings showing the systematic use of sexualized and gendered violence against Palestinians by Israeli forces—from the Nakba of 1948 to the present. The authors track patterns of violence and argue that Israel’s destruction of conditions necessary for Palestinian life meet globally accepted definitions of genocide.

A Predatory State: Israeli Systemic Sexualized and Gendered Violence Against Palestinians was researched between December 2025 and April 2026. The report analyzes survivor and witness testimonies, declassified Israeli archives, Palestinian oral histories, academic research, documentary evidence, media reporting, human rights documentation, and United Nations reports and statements.

From ANGELA DAVIS to GRETA THUNBERG and JEREMY CORBIN, several prominent activists and politicians have called attention to the report as critical for holding the Israeli government accountable for this pattern of violence.

First published on June 30th, 2026, the report is now available in Spanish, Arabic, German, French, Italian, and English.

The report describes Palestinian survivor testimony of sexual torture in Israeli detention, including the Sde Teiman scandal. The authors situate these cases within a wider system of violence spanning beyond imprisonment to warfare, surveillance, reproductive destruction, family separation, and domicide.

The report reinforces findings such as a June 2026 UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry report regarding how Israeli security forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza since 2023. The PFC report cites several sources documenting related war crimes against Palestinian children in the West Bank through the use of torture, including sexual and gender-based violence, in detention.

The authors argue that the scale and consistency of the evidence of sexualized and gendered violence, the repetition of standardized methods across multiple sites, and the use of such tactics that inflict collective terror on Palestinian life point to institutional practice rather than individual misconduct.

The report documents and analyzes the following aspects:

-Detention and torture: Consistent evidence of sexualized violence in Israeli detention: forced nudity, sexual humiliation, genital torture, simulated rape, rape with objects and rape by trained dogs, as documented by the BBC and other media alongside human rights monitoring groups across several Israeli prisons.

-Historical continuity: Declassified Israeli archives and other historical records in the report corroborate the use of sexualized violence since the 1948 Nakba as a tool of displacement, humiliation, terror and/or domination, casting recent cases like Sde Teiman as indistinguishable from Israel’s common detention practices for Palestinians.

-Reproductive genocide: The systematic destruction of the conditions necessary for Palestinian life and birth via Israel’s assault on reproductive health in Gaza, including the destruction of medical infrastructure and the denial of water, fuel, food and medicine, as documented by journalists on the ground and several international rights groups.

-"Esqat": Testimonies of Israel’s pervasive policy of "esqat," involving sexualized blackmail, surveillance, honeytraps and related coercion to recruit informants by threatening Palestinians with exposure or fabricated allegations

-AI-assisted domicide: Israel’s destruction of Palestinian homes through AI targeting systems such as “Lavender,” “Where’s Daddy” and “The Gospel,” which the authors argue functions as gendered violence against Palestinian family life, kinship and memory

-Violence after death: Israel’s withholding and desecration of Palestinian bodies, as documented by Palestinians as well as CNN, The New York Times, and the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor — extending violence into burial and mourning

-The politics of denial: The report points to routine dismissal and obstruction of Palestinian testimony about sexualized and gendered violence throughout time via sealed archives, destroyed evidence, social stigma, and resulting fear of retaliation within Israeli legal, medical and forensic systems

“The sexualized and gender-based violence meticulously researched and exposed in this report — is a system of domination, oppression and erasure,” said FRANCESCA ALBANESE, UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories.

“A landmark indictment of the Israeli state,” said LAYLA HAZAINEH, Progressive International’s Arab World Coordinator. “A Predatory State shows that colonial violence is organized not only through bombs, borders and prisons, but through sex, gender, intimacy, reproduction and death.”

“From Sde Teiman to Gaza’s maternity wards, from blackmail to the withholding of the dead, this violence is not an anomaly or an excess of war, it is a method of Israel's colonial project,” said LOUBNA QUTAMI, a PFC member.
